SHOCK SURVIVE BIG DOGS' BITE

For most of last Sunday's game against the Big Dogs, the Shock were short-circuited.  But not long enough.

The Big Dogs came out firing to take a 16-8 halftime lead and a see saw battle in the second half saw the Shock's Chris Graham hit two 50 yard field goals and single to close the gap to 17-15.
With 6 plays left, Igor Jankovich hit a 30 yarder to give the Big Dogs a 20-15 lead.  But a poor kick off followed by a pass interference penalty set up the defending champs inside the 20, where QB Greg Moore hit Curtis Shakespeare for the go ahead score.    On the ensuing kick-off,  Angela Saputo of the Big Dogs broke free and was headed to the endzone only to have the run negated on a warding call.  Wally Moore then flagged the Dogs on the last play of the game to give the defending champs a tough 21-20 win and move them to 2-0.

The Shock will put their perfect record on the line with a showdown against the undefeated Jokers on Sunday, a team the Shock defeated 18-17 in last year's semi-finals.
