The four time defending champion Shock and the surging Agents have locked down the top two playoff seeds with one week left in the 2011 AFFL regular season.
In a highly anticipated rematch of last year's final, the Shock overcame a 16-6 halftime deficit against the Golden Beavers to emerge with a tough 25-19 victory. Chris Graham continued his standout play for the Shock, with two touchdowns, a field goal, two extra points and an interception. The Agents continued their high scoring ways with a 41-13 win over the Jokers, becoming the first team in the AFFL this season to surpass the 300 point mark.
The Shock sit at 8-0 and have locked up their fourth consecutive regular season crown while the Agents sit a 7-1 - with a lone loss to the Shock, and have secured second spot.
In other action, the Big Dog won their 5th game in a row with a big 58-8 win over the winless Jager Bombers; the surprising Bruzers kept pace with a 28-0 win over the Bandits; the Eagles got back in the win column with a 14-8 upset of the Jokers; and the Warriors finally got their offence rolling in a 46-16 win over the Bandits.
The regulars season end this Sunday with games at Wright Field in Alliston and St. Thomas Aquinas field in Tottenham.
