BEAVERS, AGENTS SECURE TOP SEEDS FOR AFFL PLAYOFFS

The 2013 AFFL regular season drew to a close on Sunday with the Beavers and Agents leading the way with 7-1 records.  The Beavers claim top spot overall by virtue of a win over the Agents, giving them the top seed as they seek a third AFFL title.  The Agents are still looking for their first.

Rounding out the top four are the Jokers and the upstart Redskins, both with 5-3  Last year's "A" finalists  get the tiebreaker over the 2nd year Redskins, last year's C Champs.  Next in line are the defending champion Big Dogs, who look to be rounding into championship form after two big wins last weekend.    Their win over the wily Warriors - the only team to beat the Beavers this year - moved the veteran squad into 6th.   Rounding out the standings are the Bruzers, rebuilding Shock and Bandits.

So,  Sunday will feature five playoff games at Wright Field.    The wild card match will pit the Shock against the Bandits, with the winner taking on the top rated Beavers and the loser eliminated.    The #2 Agents will meet the #7 Bruzers.  In a rematch of last year's quarter-finals, #3 Jokers will take on #6 Warriors,  with the #4 Redskins matched up with the defending champions, #5 Big Dogs.    Winners and losers of these quarter final match-ups will move on to the championship and consolation semi-finals respectively on Nov 10th .
