Week 5 Round Up: BEAVERS SHORT CIRCUIT SHOCK, JOKERS WIN TWO

Beavers 14   Shock 3

In a rematch of last year's championship game, the Beavers turned the tables on the Shock, winning by a 14-3 count.  Both teams played stellar defence as always,  with Jason Graham proving the difference maker,  scoring a touchdown and adding two field goals, while veteran Stu  Butcher had four sacks.  These two teams could be headed for semi-final showdown next month.

Jokers  31  Big Dogs 8

The Jokers handed the Big Dogs their third loss in a row, taming them by a 31-8 count. Ricardo Hoyos tossed four TD passes and the Jokers defence had four interceptions to pace the team to it's 5th straight win.

Jokers 28  Eagles 18

The Jokers completed their doubleheader sweep with a tough 28-18 win over the Eagles.  Ricardo Hoyos tossed two TDs, Jeff Verstratten had two TD catches and each kicked a field goal in the win.  Dave Prsenza had two TDs in reply for the Eagles.

Eagles 24  Redskins 19

The Eagles fought back from an 11-0 defecit to deny the Redskins their first win of the season, winning 24-19.  Dave Prsenza was the offensive star for the Eagles, doing football's equivalent of hitting for the cycle as he caught a TD and 2 pt convert while kicking a single and a field goal.

Bruzers 40  Warriors 22

Trevor Wood tossed four TD passes, three to John Jergens, and ran for another, while the defence shut out the Warriors in the second half, to give the Brusers their second win in a row and move the team to .500.   Darryl Campbell tossed two TDs and ran for another in reply for the Warriors.

Agents 52  Bandits 22

The Agents won their 5th game in a row as they put the Bandits on the run by a 52-22 count. Jason Cunningham tossed four TD passes and Gord Bailey, Tagir Anissimov and AJ Fuller each had two touchdown in the win.  Ed DeLeskie led the way for the Bandits with two TDs.
