Week 8 Update: AGENTS STEAL ONE AGAINST BEAVERS

For the past two weeks the Beavers snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against the Jokers and Warriors.   This time, the tables were turned as the Agents ended the Beavers eight game win streak.

With the Beaver up 15-10 and looking to clinch the game,  a Tony Smith pass was intercepted at the Agents 20 yard line and returned 90 yards for a TD by Steve Koenig for an 18-15 lead.  The Beavers had a chance for a game tying field goal on the last play of the game but elected to go for the win, only to fall short.

Upsets were the order of the day as the Warriors won a shootout with the Big Dogs 34-29 and the Bruzers had the last laugh on the Jokers by a 11-8 count.    The Shock and Redskins rounded out the days winners.

Despite the upsets, the standings remained unchanged  with the Beavers and Jokers claiming the top two seeds in the playoffs.   The Beavers will play the winner of the Redskins vs Eagles wildcard game, while the Jokers will play the winner of the rejuvenated Warriors vs Bandits tilt.
The other quarter final match ups feature the third seeded Agents vs the Bruzers with the fourth seeded Big Dogs taking on the five time defending champion Shock.
