WARRIORS HAND BEAVERS FIRST LOSS

As the saying goes, every dog has it's day.  Well, so does every warrior.

The wily vets of the Warriors - many of whom have played 15 or more seasons in the AFFL, turned back the clock for at least one day and showed that on any given Sunday, anyone can win in the AFFL, handing the previously undefeated Beavers a 14-9 loss in the last game before the Thanksgiving break.

The Warrior defence carried the day with three interceptions, and QB Marty Patience had a patient methodical, error free game to give the Warriors the points they needed in the win.  The win, coupled with the shutout win that cooled the red-hot Bruzers the week before, moved the Warriors past .500 at 3-2.   The Beavers dropped to 5-1, but can still clinch first overall with wins in their last two regular season games.

In other action, the Agents moved into second at 4-1 with two convincing wins - 35-11 over the Bruzers and 49-12 over the rebuilding and injury-riddled Shock.  The Jokers kept pace with a big 22-0 shutout over the Redskins.  The Redskins managed to salvage their weekend, though, by defeating the Shock 30-0.  Finally, the defending champion Big Dogs defeated the Bandits to move back to the .500 mark at 2-2.
