For the past two seasons, the Agents have been the best regular season team in the AFFL - only to fall short of a quest for the AFFL title come playoff time.
Underestimate them at your peril, however. They are among the league's elite teams.
And, after Week 3 play - they remain undefeated.
The Agents moved to 3-0 on the season with a convincing 38-14 win over the Jokers and look poised for another shot at that elusive AFFL title. The Jokers, meanwhile, have yet find their groove after losing long-time stalwart QB Ricardo Hoyos to a move to Los Angeles and seeing the availability of perennial standout Jeff Verstratten limited due to a new job commitment.
Joining the Agents in the undefeated ranks are the Untouchables and the Big Dogs. The Untouchables moved to 3-0 with a 28-14 win over the still winless Bruzers, while the Dawgs prevailed 39-17 over the Golden Beavers.
In other action, a potential first round playoff match-up lived up to its potential as the surging Bandits battled the Redksins. In the end though, it was the Redskins that stole the show with late TD and defensive stand to comeback and beat the Bandits 27-23. Both teams now sit at 2-2 in the standings along with the Beavers.
In a battle of winless teams, the Warriors and Team Green slugged it out in an exciting tilt. The Warriors went ahead 35-27 with 6 plays left in this shootout, then saw their defence step up with an interception on the final Team Green series to seal the deal for their first win of the season.
This Sunday sees a full slate of games in Week 4 action before the league shuts down for Thanksgiving.
