Week 2 action of the 2019 AFFL season featured only three games, with the Agents and Bandits having an off week. The Big Dog took on Team Green in a first place showdown; the Untouchables and Beavers met in a rematch of the 2018 championship game; while the Warriors and Jokers met with each looking for their first win.
Team Green entered their game against the Big Dogs on a high, having opened the season with a big win against the Jokers. Defensively, Team Green did a decent job, but their offense could not get untracked. The brothers Spataro led the way for the Big Dogs, with Adam scoring two TDs, Mitch scoring one and Adam throwing a TD pass. This coupled with Greg Moore's two TD strikes and Damon McLachlan throwing a TD off a pitch - the first TD pass of his career - saw the Big Dogs take the game 24-0 to stay atop the standings.

The Beavers came into Week 2 looking for their first win of the season and faced a tough task against the Untouchables in a rematch of last year's championship. The game did not disappoint. In a back and forth affair both teams played great on each side of the ball, with each defense getting two interceptions and each offense punching in three touchdowns. In the end, the Untouchables Mike Nielserek's foot proved the difference, as he kicked three single points to give the Untouchables a hard fought 23-22 win over the Golden Beavers.
The final game of the day saw the Warriors and Jokers clash in a battle of quarterbacks that was a blast from the past. Brian Cook, in his 38th year in the league, was at the helm for the Jokers while Joscelyn Ross, former AFFL President who has 25 plus years in the league was tossing for the Warriors. The two players shared AFFL MVP honours in 1995 for the run and gun offences they managed with the Bruzers and Salvage Metal Scorpions. Last Sunday's match up was not as high octane, as both defences came ready to play. And this time, there was no tie, with Ross getting the better of Cook on this day in 13-4 Warriors win.
