Flag Bowl 2018 is all set and it is a match-up of the top two teams as the undefeated Golden Beavers (10-0) will take on the Untouchables (9-1) for the title. And while the championship match-up played out as scripted, there were some surprises along the way!
Week 1 had two upsets: First off, in the wild card game, #8 Bandits took on #9 Team Green. The Bandits had dispatched Team Green 22-7 in last week of regular season, but the rematch saw the tables flipped as Team Green took the game 18-1. That earned them a quarter-final berth against the top rated Beavers, who showed why they are undefeated with a 39-1 win. In other QF action, the #4 Agents and #5 Warriors squared off - the Agents having defeated the Warriors the week previous. Again - the tables got turned as the Warriors roared out to a 17-0 lead, with their kicking game being the difference in a 33-26 upset win that returned them to the semi-finals for the first time since 2006. The other quarter-final match ups stuck to the script as the #2 Untouchables defeated the #7 Bruzers 46-15 while the three time defending champion Big Dogs shut out the Jokers 21-0.

Semi-Final Sunday featured the Beavers vs the Warriors and a much anticipated match up of the Big Dogs and Untouchables. The Beaver again showed their pedigree with a convincing 48-17 win over the upstart Warriors. It was left to the Untouchables to seal their part of the deal by vanquishing the defending champs - and that they did with an impressive 35-15 win.
Flag Bowl 2018 takes place Saturday November 17th at Wright Field with the Consolation Final at 10am, the B Final at 11:30 and the Championship at 1pm.
