Week 4: BIG DOGS STAND ALONE AT TOP AS AGENTS FALL

 And then there was one.

As the AFFL headed into its annual Thanksgiving break, only on team remained undefeated after action on October 3rd.   Both the Big Dogs and Agents headed into the weekend with 3-0 records, but only the Big Dogs emerged victorious to remain on top as the Agents fell to a familiar foe.

The Agents met up with the Untouchables in a rematch of the 2019 AFFL final, in which the Agents came back from a 15-0 half-time deficit to take the title.   No such comeback was in the offing in this match up though.  In a similarly see saw affair to the championship final,  the teams traded blows but in the end the Untouchables landed a decisive one to emerge with a 21-17 win  - and a small measure of revenge.   The win ended the Agents 13 game winning streak and dropped the squad to 3rd in the standings.   These two teams look headed for another playoff showdown.

The Big Dogs, meanwhile,  faced the upstart Warriors in a game that proved to be a tight contest.  Both teams traded scores and played well defensively, but in the end the wily veteran squad of the Big Dogs took a 22-18 win to stay perfect at 4-0.

In other action, the Beavers got back into the win column with an 18-9 win over the Jokers, while in keeping with the defensive theme of the weekend, the Bandits and Team Green battled to a 14-14 tie.

AFFL play resumes October 17th.
