WEEK 6: BIG DOGS CLINCH 1ST; JOKERS LEAVE UNTOUCHABLES UNHAPPY

Heading into Week 6, the Big Dogs were taking on the Agents in a first place showdown, while the Untouchables were looking to set up a showdown with the Big Dogs in Week 7 for the regular season title. Both games came right down to the wire - and someone forget to tell the Jokers what the script was.

The 5-0 Big Dogs took on the defending champion 4-1 Agents in what could easily be a preview of the title game.  As expected, it was tight contest, with both teams evenly matched and tied at 16 late in the game.  The Big Dogs managed to get in scoring range and with 2 plays left in the game,  kicked a decisive single point for a 17-16 win.

Perhaps looking ahead to the Week 7 showdown with the Big Dogs,  the Untouchables found themselves neck and neck late in their game against the one win Jokers.  Leading 28-24 late in the game,  the Untouchables were looking to seal the deal when disaster struck as the Jokers got a pick-six off of QB Trevor Wood to go ahead 31-28 and then stop the Untouchables again to hold on for the upset win.

In other action, the Warriors moved to .500 with a 31-6 win over the Bandits, while the Beavers moved into a second place tie with the Agents and Untouchables by defeating Team Green 25-16.

So, the Big Dogs win and Untouchables loss means that the Big Dogs clinched first place going into Week 7 - with 2nd place still up for grabs among the Untouchables, Agents and Big Dogs depending on the outcome of next week's games.   The two key match ups pit the Big Dogs against the Untouchables, while the Beavers take on the Agents.
