AGENTS & BEAVERS IN FIRST PLACE SHOWDOWN

6-0  vs   7-0

THERE CAN BE ONLY
ONE

It's a familiar scenario:  Agents vs Beavers with first place on the line.  The defending regular season champion Agents, with their top ranked offence,  put their 6-0 record on the line against the two-time defending champion Golden Beavers and their top ranked defence.    Last season, the Agents won convincingly, but were upset en route to a rematch in the final by the Big Dogs.    Can the Agents prevail again to get in the driver's seat for the top playoff seed?  We'll find out Sunday at 9am at Wright Field.
After facing the Beavers, the Agents then have to take on their nemesis the Big Dogs, who are still stinging after a tough 13-10 loss to the Redskins last week.   The loss dropped the Big Dogs to 5-2 and if the team wants to have any chance of finishing in the top two they will need to bounce back big against the Agents, especially with a date with the Beavers looming next week.
The expansion Untouchables continue to impress, recording their third win a row last week with a 17-16 squeaker over the Jokers.  This followed on the heels of two big wins the week before; 25-23 over the Big Dogs and a 49-41 shootout win over the Warriors.  A sweep of their doubleheader this week over Team Green and the tough and competitive Bandits will put the Untouchables in a position for a top two finish as well.
Another game with playoff implications sees the 2-5 Warriors square off against the 3-4 Jokers.  The Warriors surprised the Beavers last week, holding a 10-6 lead before eventually falling 20-13.  The Jokers lost both ends of a doubleheader to drop below .500.  The winner of this match-up will be in the driver's seat to avoid a wild-card playoff game and  potentially a dreaded opening playoff round doubleheader.
So, with two weeks left the regular season, there is still lots to be decided in the 2015 AFFL regular season.  As all teams know only too well, on any given Sunday, anything can happen.
