WEEK 3: BANDITS SEE GREEN, BIG DOGS STAY ON TOP

The weather isn't the only thing that has been hot in the AFFL so far this season - and last week things got even hotter.  Team Green and the Warriors got into the win column - and the defending champion Big Dogs stayed perfect and extended their winning streak to 20 games - second all-time in the AFFL.
Team Green entered the week at 0-2 after dropping one to the Agents 33-8 last week and faced a Bandits squad that they need to beat to move up in the standings.   In the end, they did just that, outlasting the Bandits by a 30-20 score.

The Agents moved to 2-1 with a decisive 39-15 win over the Jokers, who fell to 2-2 with the loss.  The Jokers split a doubleheader in Week 2, falling 31-12 to the Big Dogs before rebounding with a 20-9 win over the Warriors.

The Big Dogs moved to 4-0 with a 40-20 win over the Bruzers,  who were outmanned and overmatched by the weather in their second game of the day, forfeiting to the Warriors to give them their first win of the season.

The Big Dogs managed to stretch their lead atop standings thanks to the Beavers and Untouchables ending their game in a 23-23 tie.   The Untouchables remain undefeated at 2-0-1, but lost ground to the league leaders.  The Beavers stay among the league leaders as well, thanks to a 45-0 win last week over the Bruzers.

This week signifies the midway point in the season and will be followed by the annual Thanksgiving break.   The weather may be cooling down, but the jockeying for playoff seeds sure isn't.
