The Big Dogs have finished the 2022 AFFL regular season undefeated. If they are going to emerge as 2022 AFFL champs, they will have to stay that way.
After a first-place clinching win over the Agents last Sunday, the Dawgs did not take their foot off the gas pedal, defeating Team Green 27-0. The Big Dogs will face the winner of the Bandits/Team Green wild card game in quarter-final action next week - their first of three steps to winning the championship for the first time since 2017.
Nipping at their heels will be the expansion Team 9 and the Agents, the 2019 champs and 2021 finalists. Both teams finished with records of 6-2 after Team 9 defeated the Bandits 35-12, while the Agents earned a hard fought 15-6 win over the Jokers.
Also knocking on the door will be the defending champion Beavers along with perennial contenders the Untouchables and the upstart Warriors. The Untouchables knocked of the Warriors 28-20 on Sunday before falling the Beavers 24-10.
